ART CLUB: It is open to all RCMS students. The art club will meet on Wednesdays (except the 3rd Wednesday) of every month.Meetings will end at 4:30.
BATTLE OF THE BOOKS: Join the Battle of the Books Competition. We read books from the NC State B.O.B. list and in February we have a battle against other middles schools in the county. Come have fun reading, talking about the books, and participating in mock battles!! We will meet the 2nd Thursday of every month in room 509 - Mrs. Allen's room - after school until 4:00 Be sure to have a ride pick you up on-time.
CAKEOLOGY: Do you enjoy Cake Boss or Cupcake Wars? Are you interested in owning your own bakery one day? Join Cakeology! In Cakeology, students will learn how to work with buttercream, fondant, and gumpaste while creating their very own cakes and cupcakes. Participants will also be able to explore cake designing as a business and career. Students can sign up for sessions throughout the year. See Ms. Barnes, Family and Consumer Science, for directions on how to sign up and be a part of Cakeology!
FUTURE BUSINESS LEADERS OF AMERICA (FBLA): Are you interested in learning about the business world, maybe pursue a career in business, or simply learn more about personal money management? Are you interested in learning how to direct the affairs of a group and organizing community service projects. Perhaps you would like to compete against other middle schools on business related projects. Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Guilford are sponsoring the club that will meet usually one Thursday per month in room 2401. Volunteers from the business community through Junior Achievement will co-lead the meetings.. Membership is open to all but students must have taken Keyboarding (Computer Skills 1) or Business ; Computer Technology (Computer Skills 2) in order to join competitions.FBLA is a nationally recognized organization.
GUYS READ CLUB: is a fun, after school club that meets every 3rd Thursday of the month. We encourage dudes to read more by looking at comics books, movies and other fun guy things. The club is run by Mr St. John and meets from afterschool until 5. First club meeting will be October 18.
RUN CLUB: Runner or walker, fast or slow? Looking to get some exercise or trying to stay in shape between sports? Want to challenge yourself, working towards a 5k, or maybe even a marathon? Open to all levels and abilities, come on out and join us at the Reedy Creek Middle School Run Club!
The RCMS Run Club is open to all staff, all students, and parents or guardians of students. Parents or guardians must complete the WCPSS Volunteer registration prior to participation. Rain or shine, we will meet every Wednesday from 3:15pm to 4:30pm. All participants are to be picked up at 4:30pm or be prepared to ride the activity bus home. STUDENT COUNCIL: Student Council is a club that is open to ALL students in 6th, 7th and 8th grade. This is a great extracurricular activity for students who would like to be involved in their school community. Student Council meets once a month to plan school activities. These activities include, but are not limited to: the RCMS annual food drive each fall, selling candy grams during holiday months, Penny Wars during college basketball season, planning School Spirit Week, providing food for Creek Madness, and creating posters for other school activities. If you have any questions about Student Council, please ocntact Ms. Holloway, Mrs. Mazzotta, or Mrs. Graham.
WILDLIFE CLUB: is open to all 6th, 7th,; 8th grade students at Reedy Creek Middle School. Its purpose is to help student members to experience, enjoy, and conserve the wildlife resources of our school, community, and state as they strive to become better naturalists. (Naturalist - a student of natural history:the study of peoples, animals, plants, and minerals.) Meetings: The RCWC will meet from 3:05 to 3:35pm on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month. There are no dues. But Students must fiill out a Member Data/Health History Form (for field trips and off campus activities) in order to become a member. The club is sponsored by Mr. Lockwood and lots of help from parents!

WORD UP! CLUB: Do you like to play games? Do you like to have fun with words? Then this is the club for you! Come join us to play all kinds of word games like Scrabble, Boggle, Perquacky, Taboo and more! We will start out meeting in Mrs. Allen's room - room 509 - but we might move to the Media Center.We will meet the1st Thursday of every month after school until 4:30. Be sure to have a ride pick you up on time or know your activity bus stop.
