Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

Dear RCMS Families,

I hope everyone had a very relaxing spring break and is ready for the last 10 weeks of school. Yes, only 10 weeks left. For our PTA, getting close to the end of one school year means it is time to start planning for the next one. Right now, we need your help!

Elections for the 2008-2009 PTA Board will be held soon. A Nominating Committee has been formed. Members include Cindy Babson, Mary Hill, and Rebekah Hotelling. They are looking for volunteers to fill various PTA positions for next year.

In reality, it takes many volunteers due to the large number and variety of committees. Everyone is welcome. Now is your chance to get involved and make a difference! If you are interested in serving on the board or have someone you want to nominate, please contact a committee member to discuss what job fits your time and talents for next year:

It has been an exciting year for me as your president. I would like to take this opportunity to say “thank you” to a fantastic board: Ken Berry, Debra Coggins, Belinda Thompson, Cindy Babson and to our committee chairs; Mary Hill, Rebekah Hotelling, Peggy Kelly, Lorraine Potoczeck, Tina John, Michelle Dyer, Jackie Cox, Tami Marple, Viviane Cobb, Debbie Winegar, Becky Goodell, Deborah Feldstein, Martha Shurtleff, and Diane Griffiths. They have been awesome to work with this year! You have given the gift of your time on a regular basis here at RCMS. It is important for all of you to remember how crucial the role was you played in the success of each and every student. I am also grateful to every parent, teacher, and staff for their participation and
support! Thank you!!!

If you have never been to one of our PTA meetings, we want you to come. Our next meetings are at 7 p.m. on April 10th, May 6th and June 3rd. Our general PTA meeting is May 29th at 6:30 p.m.; we will be voting on the 2008/2009 slate of officers. Hope to see you there!
