the PTA President
Dear RCMS Families,
Happy Spring! I hope you are enjoying the warmer
weather and looking
forward to Spring Break April 8th -13th. When we
return from spring break
we will have nine more weeks before the end of the
school year! For our
PTA, getting close to the end of one school year
means it is time to start
planning for the next one.
Elections for the 2009/2010 PTA board members will
be held soon. We
are so fortunate that many members of the board
will be returning next
year. There are some of us that will end our time
at Reedy Creek Middle
as our children move on to high school. If you would
be interested in serving
on the PTA board next year you can contact me cindybabson@nc.rr.com
468-7050 or any board member to discuss what job
fits
your time and talents.
It has been my pleasure to serve as PTA President
this year. I would like to
take this opportunity to thank all of the dedicated
board members: Robin
Donegan, Mary Hill, Skip Dyer, Tyra Middleton, Rebekah
Hotelling, Sandra
Curtis, Michele Dyer, Jackie Cox, Marissa Kelly,
Officer Guthrie, Ginger
Haroldson, Paige Lewis, Deborah Feldstein, Renee
Urben, Debra Coggins,
Patty Pearthree, Karen Griffin, Debbie Winegar,
Kara Patchin, and
Rebecca Demarte.
Also a big thanks to Mr. Jackson,
Mrs Raiford and Mr.
Angotti. Mr. Jackson faithfully attended our monthly
board meetings and
helped support all PTA events. Mrs. Raiford and
Mr. Angotti helped with
the planning and coordination of events and made
sure everything ran
smoothly. The office staff and teachers were patient
and friendly. Our parent
volunteers are so important. We thank you for your
generous donations
of food, drinks and for your time. It is a team
effort to make our school a
success.
If you have not attended one of our meetings we
want you to come. Our
PTA board meets the first Wednesday of the month
at 7:00 in the media
center. The next general PTA meeting is May 28th.
At this meeting we will
be voting on the 2009/2010 slate of officers.
