Careers in Motion 2007
“Careers in Motion” brings to Reedy Creek Middle
the folks that help us move people and goods."
On June 1st, grade 6 students investigated the many types of
careers that support the transportation of goods and services in our city.
The students meet city planners, engineers and surveyors. They talked with
a geologist and emergency services. They learnered about the drivers and the
vehicles that are used to keep our city running smoothly. The topics of vehicle
maintenance, purchase and financing was handled by an licensed mechanic and
automobile salesperson. Conservation was also featured in a visit from Eno
Lindfors and his electrically
run Sparrow
as well as the city's recycling and environmental education services.
Reedy Creek students thank the presenters that hailed from
The City of Cary's Departments of: Public Works, Planning, Fire, Police and
CTRANS
The NC Department of
Transportation and Rick Hendrix Chevrolet of Durham also contributed to the
fair's
success!
